As a member of the National Honor Society, you are expected to participate in the Orchard Park High School Peer Tutoring Program.
The tutoring program offers academic assistance to OPHS students seeking additional.
Members will be polled at the start of each semester to determine what areas are stregths and to identify availability. As the year progresses, Mrs. Godios will contact you with tutoring situations based on your strengths and availability.
Here are some examples of how students may be asked to participate. NHS members may be asked...
1. to assist OPHS students one on one in a specific subject areas.
2. to work with a teacher to offer after school help in the teacher's classroom.
3. to work with a teacher and provide help during classes (like an assistant).
4. to offer assistant studying for midterms/finals.
The expectation is that you will participate in at least one tutoring situtation for the entire duration of the arrangement.
